Facts Matter

Incumbent Nunda Supervisor, Leda Drain in just over 4 years has amassed an astonishing record of using her position for personal gain for her and her family, covering up corruption for her political cronies and failing to pursue any.

Below I have detailed what I will do to clean up Nunda Township Government, restore ethics and integrity, and drive out wasteful costs that will enable the Township Board to Cut Taxes

Mike will put a stop to Nepotism in Nunda Township.

As one of her first acts after taking office, incumbent  Supervisor Leda drain, hired an immediate family member and in the past three years increased her salary 150%.

In addition to the incumbent Supervisor, the Township Clerk and the Highway Commissioner all are either salaries, stipends, or issuing no-bid contracts to family members.

Mike has signed an Anti-Nepotism pledge and at the first board meeting, will present the board with a No Nepotism Policy that will apply to all Township Departments, that will prohibit nepotism in hiring, contracting or purchasing will be permitted.

Mike will cut the Supervisor's Salary AT LEAST 40%

In October of 2024 at the 10/10/2024 board meeting, Supervisor Drain tried to strongarm a 25% salary increase for herself.

She presented two scenarios that included proposals to increase the salary for the part time position to as much as $101,000.

During the discussion, when one board member made a motion to table the item to the next meeting, Supervisor Drain refused to second it.  (Watch thru 31:15)

When another board member asked if her salary increases would result in an increase in the tax levy she said, "...we are going to have to increase our Levy, because our budget is higher than our levy... "

It was only after her pocket trustees failed to support her scheme, she was forced to delay the vote until the November meeting.
